Super HBO Boxing Event On Tap: Golovkin vs Rubio and Donaire vs Walters on Saturday Night

Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (30-0, 27 KO’s) will face his toughest test to date in Marco Antonio Rubio (59-6-1, 51 KO’s) this Saturday night on HBO boxing after dark.  It will be the main event of the night with a sold out crowd at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California.  Despite the fact that those betting boxing have Golovkin as a HUGE favorite to win, the hard hitting Mexican (Rubio) packs a great punch and he can take some serious punishment and tire his opponent out.  Anything can happen at a boxing event so be sure to tune in to this must see fight card.

The co-main event, being promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank Promotions, will be Nonito Donaire vs Nicholas Walters.  If Donaire can channel his old self, he should be able to take out the undefeated Jamaican fighter.  Unfortunately, Donaire has not looked good in his last couple of fights so Walters just might have enough power to knock Nonito out.

Sports betting websites have Golovkin as a huge favorite to defeat Rubio and Walters and Donaire as a pick ‘em fight.  Regardless of the odds at the casinos, both fights will likely produce some major fireworks and fans in attendance and at home will probably be treated to an excellent night of ringside boxing.  Please tune in…..you won’t be disappointed.
