ESPN Boxing: Michael Farenas and Mark Davis Headline Boxing Event At Foxwoods

SMS Promotions will be presenting a boxing event from the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut on July 02, 2014.  The main event will be an IBF super featherweight eliminator between Michael Farenas and Mark Davis.

Boxers are notorious for fighting for some sort of meaningless title belt.  So that’s why this event is unique and refreshing; the main event is an eliminator for the IBF super featherweight title.  Any of the men on the card could boast of being a world champion if the promoter were to hand them a belt to show off to the crowd.  Thankfully, that isn’t the case here.  (Gotta respect that, folks!)
