Boxing Sites Reporting That Amir Khan Was Arrested For Assaulting Youths

Manchester police arrested showtime boxing superstar, Amir Khan, in Bolton after he allegedly assaulted two youths over a misunderstanding.  The 27 year old former Olympic Silver medalist was released a short while after his arrest as the young men withdrew their allegations.

Amir Khan does not have to worry about this situation affecting his career as there are no official charges against him and the matter is closed.  Khan’s desire to face boxing superstar, Floyd Mayweather, will hopefully lead to fruition sometime on 2015.

Pro boxing rakes in millions of dollars when top name boxers compete so an Amir Khan vs Floyd Mayweather pay per view would be sure to generate huge revenues and turn into a hugely successful boxing event.

Since Khan’s legal troubles are over, he should focus on setting up a major Showtime boxing event against Floyd Mayweather in the early part of next year.  Khan is riding high after his utter destruction of Luis Collazo in May.  And in all combat sports, styles make fights; we believe that Khan has the speed and stamina to cause Mayweather a lot of problems.
