The Next Great American Heavyweight Boxing Champion: Bryant “By-By” Jennings

Heavyweight boxing might just have a new American star on the horizon and his name is Bryant “By-By” Jennings!! The 6’2” American boxer (18-0, 10 KO’s) last defeated undefeated Polish heavyweight, Artur Szpilka, at the world famous Madison Square Garden via TKO stoppage in the 10th round of a 10 round fight. Undefeated Mike Perez (20-0-1, 12 KO’s) will be Bryant Jennings’ opponent on July 26th at New York’s Madison Square Garden in what is sure to be a classic heavyweight showdown (something we don’t come across too often in the heavyweight division) as the co-main event under the Golovkin vs Geale boxing event. HBO boxing will be promoting this great card under Top Rank Promotions.

Mike Perez was the man who dished out so much punishment on Russian heavyweight, Magomed Abdusalamov, in November 2013, that the Russian was rushed to Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Abdusalamov has a blood clot on his brain and was induced into a medical coma by doctors so that they could remove part of “Mago’s” skull and perform brain surgery on the Russian boxer. Magomed’s career was over as a result of Perez’ incessant punches and an idiot referree’s negligence (due to him not stopping the fight).

Bryant Jennings is the next heavyweight that will be facing Mike Perez at Madison Square Garden but I would be willing to bet that the man who will be dishing out the punishment on this night will be Jennings, not Perez. The man referred to as “By-By” lives and trains in Philadelphia. He is taking this fight so seriously that he is flying to Las Vegas for 2 weeks to train at high elevation just to get himself ready for what will certainly be a war on July 26th. His promoter, Gary Shaw, is assuring anyone and everyone that Jennings is taking this WBC eliminator against Perez, very seriously. Bryant Jennings has been training alongside Erislandy Lara, who has a fight coming up on July 12th againt Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (a Showtime pay per view boxing event).

Folks, you heard it here first: Bryant Jennings is the real deal and possibly the future of the American heavyweight division, which has been lacking for quite some time now. Will Jennings steamroll Perez and move on the Wladimir Klitchko some time soon?
